The Role:

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for B2B sales, driving customer acquisition, and converting leads into sales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with management to identify commercial opportunities with new and existing customers
• Manage customer relationships and expectations
• Review feature requests, technical needs & requirements of existing customers
• Liaise with Product, Engineering and Operations Departments to deliver solutions for clients
• Present content ideas and solutions that highlight ABS Broadcast’s technical capabilities and infrastructure
• Ensure high visibility at industry events
• Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets

Please Note: Traveling for face-to-face meetings with clients is required, including international travel.

Skills and experience in the following would be advantageous:

  • Strong client-focused communication skills
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in Video Streaming or Broadcast/Digital Media
  • Pitching for new business and preparing quotations as required
  • Have a proven track record of commercial success in sales or similar roles
  • Be organised and self-aware, consistently following up on leads and planning ahead 
  • Drive and commitment to exceeding targets

Candidate Profile Required:

  • Customer-focused, and be a self-motivated, detail-oriented and analytical individual who can also thrive in a team environment to reach commercial targets
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Eagerness to learn and work with new systems
  • Confident presentation skills
  • Effective time management and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload
  • Strong ability to work with engineering support to match technical solutions with channel requirements
  • The ability to demonstrate initiative and work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Ability to develop rapport with new and existing customers
  • A genuine passion for broadcast television
