PLAYOUT OPERATIONS CENTRE

Our fully managed Playout Operations Centre went live in 1999 as one of the first fully server based playout facilities in Europe. Currently we can run up to thirty channels simultaneously for global transmission to a viewership of approx 60 million households. We offer end-to-end playout and monitoring services using Avid's latest Media Stream Servers and full automation technology in a particularly innovative configuration to achieve a facility with a lower cost structure and yet still delivering fantastic reliability and versatility. Our state of the art facility runs full time in a main and back up configuration with a standby diesel generator and Uniterrupted Power Supply in a climate controlled environment.

We assemble clients’ programming from tapes and can also downlink programming from our own on-site satellite installation or incoming fibre links. We are currently running pilot test to also download programming material through the internet.The Playlist schedules are sent to us through our FTP sites from the clients. The programming material is then "ingested" onto our video servers, quality controlled, played out, despatched to uplinkers on fibre and fully monitored 24/7, all completely under the control of the automation system.

Our business focus is niche broadcasters and mainstream channels running secondary and sub-segmented brands. Some of our fully qualified operational staff are multi lingual and ideally suited to assist on some of the ethnic channels being launched in this increasingly multi cultural business sector. Our key supervisors and quality control personnel have been with us since we launched and our facility now boasts a proven track record of trouble free broadcasting for numerous years.
