SD Playout has been our core business for over a decade. We pioneered many of the currently used everyday technologies and working practices in today’s playout operations. We have been operating two separate fully automated server based playout centres and our third, equipped with the latest technology, is about to go live in the next two months.

Our brand new facility is HD ready. We can accept HD tapes or files and are ready to launch your HD channel with a minimal lead time. If you are looking to launch a new HD service or you are an existing broadcaster looking for an upgrade path from your current SD channel to HD, we are the ideal service provider to deliver your vision.

Whilst 3D is still only in its infancy, we are planning to add 3D compatible playout to our service portfolio shortly.

Imagine sitting on a beach with your laptop, connecting to our fully secure site via the internet and browsing your content, uploading a new playlist, making changes to your current list and changing the graphical overlays. We have now made all this and more possible for those who wish to have full control of their playout in a fully secure environment.

In the new landscape of file based systems, we have set ourselves up to be the preferred link between content owners and the television platforms serving the viewers. If you own content and are doing deals with new media firms who are asking you to deliver your content in weird and wonderful formats which is making you have sleepless nights, talk to us. We will take the original content from you, digitise it and convert it into whatever format the platforms demand and then deliver it to them using the latest technology.

By virtue of our physical location in London and the huge global connectivity which we have directly to our facility, we are able to pick channels off satellite or have them delivered by fibre to us in order to have them turned around to other territories or platforms. Any Channel Manipulation such as time delay, aspect ratio conversion or standards conversion is carried out in our facility and the new output is delivered to the new platform. We also offer alarm and monitoring of the new output as a standard service.

Over the past 20 years we have organically grown our global fibre connectivity. Today we can deliver broadcast video to almost any platform or teleport in the world. At the heart of our connectivity is the BT Global Media Network (GMN) which is an MPLS network connecting large international broadcast players together. Amongst other connectivity we also have the Genesis Global Network connecting some 200 broadcasters and associated firms.
